Cantucci e Vino Santo

 

 

In Italy it is called Cantucci e Vino Santo.

 

Usually at the end of the meal you can taste these little cakes.

 

They are hard and with almonds.

 

They can be dipped into the wine, which is very particular taste and mates very well.

 

The flavor is sweet but not too much and the alcohol content to 12% and in this way this wine came from Marsala Sicilia.

 

The original wine came always from Tuscany but I have for this moment only this kind.

 

You have to eat a few if not you become drunk.

The Lake of Corlo d’Arsiè in nord Italy a paradise in miniature!

 

The river Cismon running through the city of Arsiè forms the at village Rocca the lake of Corlo named after the small village of Corlo overlooking the dam which also serves as the only bridge connecting road. It is an artificial lake repeating the natural one and was built in the '50s, damming of the deep canyon of the river Cismon..

 

 





 

 Rocca is the most important village of the lake. Near two bridges, one of which is suspended on ropes and very spectacular, allowing visitors to cross to the opposite side to reach the various hamlets and isolated houses that climb the foothills of Monte Grappa.
  Downstream of the dam, near Cismon del Grappa, one can observe some of the galleries of the old railway line between Cismon and Feltre, in business in the early twentieth century.

 

 

Lovers of nature and silence can admire and listen to rare birth arts, fell the perfume of herbs and wild flowers, in the lake are many fish arts and in the forests nearby are foxes, wild rabbits, boars and deer’s – a wild animal paradise survived till today protected by the love of the local population proud of its natural treasury!

This is the right place to have a aperitif before diner like a Campari Soda or a glass of local Prosecco. After meal you take a digestive– like Italians use to do – will be not easy to choose from the many types of Grappa, as there is exactly the place Grappa is invented named by the name of Monte Grappa/Grappa Mountain. For the ladies I will suggest the “Sgroppino” – secret mixture of Prosecco, Vodka and lemon sorbet ice – the taste is fresh and lemony. The elegant way of enjoying Italian food is to take a Sgroppino glass between the meals so you “wash mouth” preparing for the new taste following…Buon Apetito to everyone choosing this relaxing place!

Message from a Bulgarian guest

"Here we listen the silence, thank you for the great time we spend here" – this was the wards with my Bulgarian guest said me goodbye yesterday morning- on their way back home! “Since we was kids we do not hear the noise of a big fish breathing in the water, at night here is so silent we could hear it, the air is perfumed by wild flowers…we slept like babies!”


Hotel Parigi at the picturesque lake of Corlo is the right place to thank energy, to enjoy a delicious local Italian food, to have a small walk to Rocca – the village near by - admiring the church with her very precious organ, than walking back along the lake to have a nice campari drink under the umbrellas at the front side….
